Memphis was formed by four like minded Geelong musicians who wanted a change from their current Rock & Pop bands to the emerging Modern Country & Country Rock music featuring pedal steel guitar and harmony vocals.
Their music was so well received at the time they were in high demand around the Geelong pub scene for around 10 years working 3-4 times a week. They also played many music festivals around Victoria during those years.
