History
Samantha was formed in late 1970 after the break up of Strawberry. The band was the Geelong Regional winner of Hoadleys’ National Battle Of The Sounds in 1971 and again in 1972, the last one ever staged.

At the end of 1972 Bill Climpson left to pursue a professional career in England and Henry left around the same time. They were replaced by Luke and Drago Trojkovic (Lead Guitar & keyboards), who were also in the process of building what was to become Troy House Of Music.
Support Gigs
They supported Daddy Cool in Geelong twice.
Recordings
The original Samantha recorded three tracks at Armstrong Studios, Melbourne in 1972 but not released for sale.
Extra Notes
The group disbanded in 1974.
