History
The Convairs band was formed in the late 50’s by a group of Geelong musicians who wanted to make music their living.
The band became the house band at the Geelong Palais replacing the current old-time dance band with modern ballroom dance music.
They backed many of the well know guest artists that came to the Palais and were soon sought after by other ballroom dances in Melbourne, Ballarat and Colac. The only photo that could be found is of the Convairs backing Joy Lemmon at Leggetts Ballroom Melbourne
