Terry Fielding originally from Sydney, a singer guitarist songwriter, who teamed up with Fred Dyer back in the 70’s and formed a group “FIELDING AND DYER” who won a grand final of “AUSTRALIAS NEW FACES” on channel 9 Melbourne, performing an original song ‘ Bay st. Coventry”.

The boys followed this up by winning the Bandstand songwriters award at channel 9 Sydney with another original song “Big white horse”

These successful stints led to a publishing contract with “Essex music” and subsequently a recording contract with “Spin records” Terry and Fred wrote and recorded their most successful song “THE WHALE” with Spin which topped the charts in most states and has become an Australian folk/pop classic recorded by bands all over the world. Their follow up record ‘THE GHOST” also met with some critical acclaim, particularly in Queensland.

Terry moved to Geelong in the early 80’s and worked solo for a while before teaming up with a talented local bass player Tony Golebiowski they became “DOUBLECROSS” and played everywhere throughout the Geelong region for about 6 years performing at clubs pubs weddings etc.

They re-formed to play at the 2019 Geelong Musos’ Reunion with special guest Tom Esterban on drums.
