Typical gigs included pubs, nightclubs, sporting clubs RSL clubs and corporate and private functions. For nine years Reil Diamond and The Hot August Night Band played the songs that Reil’s evil brother Neil stole from him.
Playing in many diverse venues through this period, Reil and the band put back the Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll into all the songs that had become housewives’ favourites – the rest is (predominately Geelong) history!
They re-formed for the 2022 Geelong Musos’ Reunion with Paul Santospirito on bass/vocals, Sandy Alvaro on keyboards and Carmelo (Charlie) Palamara on drums/vocals.
