History
Formed in January 1969, the Truffle was a reformed version of The Reigning Cats & Dogs (Rodney Uren – Guitar & Vocals, Martin Lamb – Bass & Vocals and Alan Williams – drums).
Support Gigs
The Truffle supported many major artists including: Doug Parkinson/The Easy Beats/Max Merritt & The Meteors/The Group/ Zoot/The Valentines/The Town Criers/ The Chelsea Set and Paul MacKay Sound.

They provided backing for Russell Morris and Marcia Jones and The Cookies. At the 1969 Hoadley’s Battle Of The Sounds on their first attempt they made an unofficial position of 3rd place in the Geelong regional final. They had, at one time, a fan club with over 100 members.
Recordings
Several tracks were recorded at an early practice session and a few others were recorded in private studios.
Extra Notes
The Truffle disbanded at the end of 1969 but had made a major contribution to the Geelong music scene.
